It’s Atlantacation time!

And yet another Friday is upon us, hallelujah and praise cheeseness. It’s a beautiful day outside, 85 degrees and sunny.  Yeah, it’s pretty humid, but otherwise perfect.  My week wasn’t very exciting, but I lived through it just fine.  I’m so brave.

Wednesday I didn’t do much of anything except spent almost 3 hours at the gym because it took Dice so long to get there.  When I am skinny and buff we can blame it on him.  Heh.  Last night the entire Commune went to the Taste of East Atlanta Village event which was a huge success!  We each bought 10 tickets ($1 each) which turned out to be way too much and we ended up having a whole pile of unused tickets at the end.  Fortunately we ended up at the Glenwood where they were offering 5 ounce beers for tickets, so we just cashed them all in for about 20 beers.  Heh.  The evening was very humid so walking around and eating hot food was uncomfortable, but most of the food was delicious and made up for it.  Then we finished the night by playing shuffleboard at the Glenwood.  So fun!

Ray has already arrived for the weekend and what she’s calling her ATLANTACATION.  Because she’s too poor to actually go on vacation, but at least Atlanta is an hour away and it feels like vacation.  She’s got a myriad of plans, some of which I will join her in and others which I won’t.  The highlight for me will be the Mets game tomorrow and then dinner at the Canadians’ tomorrow night with the Commune.  Otherwise, various errands and happy fun times.  ATLANTACATION!

  1. I’m considering a trip down to Turner Field for tomorrow afternoon’s Mets game as well. Look for me, I’ll be the one in the Mets hat. :^)
