The worst part is that for a minute or so, you cease to exist. 100% of their attention is paid to their device. You could be stabbed multiple times in the gut and bleed out before they even notice you’re still there. SO rude!

Your PDA aggravation is one of mine as well. I’m and disappointed when I see two people sitting at a table, each working the phone instead of talking to each other.

This habit seems to have grown from telephone usage. I can’t stand being somewhere (let’s say a restaurant) talking to someone who immediately interrupts our conversation to answer a phone call. Hey, I thought you so important to physically come to your place, deal with ME first.

I like this post a lot, Jenks. I don’t think the highs and lows get more intense with age as a rule or anything; I think it’s all pretty random. My own highs and lows have lessened in intensity, thus far, with age, and I’d prefer it stays that way. But I’m certainly phoning in another “low” year myself. And that never gets any funner. But I also know that only by contrast do we enjoy the better times.

The shittiest experiences are the most character building. Yay.
